Speedo and P.E. Nation launch 2019 swimwear collaboration.
Speedo and P.E. Nation took to the beach to celebrate the launch of the much anticipated collaboration, a luxury swimwear range, as revealed at the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Set amongst Sydney Harbour at the beautiful Rose Bay Beach, several Australian influencers including P.E. Nation Co-Founders Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning, and Speedo Swim ambassador Lani Pallister, trialed the new collection whilst stand-up paddle boarding (with thanks to the amazing team at Let’s Go SUP) amongst the iconic Australian backdrop of the Harbour Bridge.
“Following the success of our reveal with Speedo at Fashion Week, we are excited to release this collection for women to now own. And, what better way to release such an iconic Australian collaboration than putting the swimwear to the test in our iconic Harbour,” said Pip Edwards.
According to Edwards, the collaboration showcases pieces that are fashion forward and comfortable, yet are made of quality design and construction. “This is a unique opportunity to cater for both a traditional fashion and sports audience, who are fit, strong, bold, individual, fun and independent.”
The range combines P.E. Nation’s signature colours and graphics with the classic athletic styling of Speedo’s iconic swimsuits, allowing strong, female swimmers with practical, yet more fashionable alternatives.
Founded in 1928 in Bondi, Speedo is an iconic Aussie company known for its’ natural affinities with the beach and the pool. “Our mission is to inspire people to swim and live healthy lifestyles. We have swimwear for every occasion from breaking your PB in the pool to chilling out with your mates at the beach. There are eight new swimsuits available with options including long sleeves, supportive bikinis, high neck and the traditional shoe string strapped one-piece. The new range is available to purchase online and in select stores.
“By combining the technology of Speedo suits and the fashionable designs of P.E. Nation, we’ve successfully created a range that gives women the best of both worlds,” adds McIlwraith.
