Team Speedo let’s talk Corona

Tides have changed and we know that the waters feel a little foggy right now so here's a little update for our Speedo fam.

To our Speedo family,

We know the waters feel a little foggy right now – there’s a lot of uncertainty around at the moment with the outbreak of COVID-19, and our hearts go out to those affected.

Tides have certainly changed quickly and they will continue to do so. But we’re swimmers and we can deal with that!  We’ve been asked to practice social distancing, some of our pools and beaches have closed temporarily, some swimming meets and competitions have been suspended, the Australian Age Group Swimming and Surf Lifesaving titles cancelled. It’s rough out there. 

But if there’s one thing we know about our swimming community – it’s that we dive in head first. We are determined, accept challenges and we always come out fitter, faster, stronger. 
We know this because we’ve been right here with you, in the waters, from the first learn to swim lesson through to holiday dips, personal bests and even world records.  We’ve been in it with every splasher, every bomber and early morning regular for over 90 years. And were here today too.

Swimming is great for mindfulness.

It’s just you and the water. If you can, and want to take a time-out from all of the noise, go for a swim. We’ll be with you.

We are pleased to welcome you back to Speedo stores on Wednesday 20th May. Our trading hours will be 11am -4pm, 7 days a week. 

At Speedo, the safety and wellbeing of our customers and retail team is naturally our highest priority so we have also implemented new in-store measures to help keep our teams and customers safe.

  • Providing hand sanitiser
  • Practicing social distancing in-store
  • Cleaning more frequently - we have increased our cleaning and hygiene program including regular surface cleaning of high touch areas
  • Store capacity limit
  • Contactless payments - we kindly request all customers to use card payment where possible
